HI Peter,

Actionscript.nl has a load of JSFL files, which you could eh.. re-use?

Since I've sold the domain, I'm happy to share.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I really like the suggestion of making it something like a proto.layer51.com repository.

I'd like to have everything in the repository licensed under creative commons but am not opposed to putting up reviews to commercial Flash extensibility tools.

If anyone has a good suggestion what backend to use that would save me a lot of time as I don't particularly look forward to scripting my own custom backend right now.

I second the idea of a "cookbook" approach, which is how I take proto.layer51.com. I absolutely love Keith's and Todd's book, and the site -- while "dead" for a long time -- was still a good resource for sample files, if nothing else. Defintely include links to the must-have Extensions (5etdemi.com comes to mind; see the blog). A message board would be nice, but the existing one was never very active.

I've cooked up a handful of decent Extensions, so I'll be happy to contribute source and/or articles.

Thanks for saving a much needed resource. Haven't seen much jsfl for f8 yet.
A mix between layer51 and GoToandLearn would be sweet!

This sounds great! It seems that the Extensibility of Flash is being forgotten, and it's pretty hard to find some of the good ones. A list of essential JSFL extensions with links would be a good place to start. And then a few tutorials would be cool as well. Still meaning to pick up the book, just haven't had the time yet. Thanks for picking this up!

It should be like proto.layer51.com but for JSAPI. I think there is a real need for a one stop site for this sort of stuff. There are tones of great extensions out there and sometimes you have to go digging for them.
