Hey Peter,
I don't generally take training courses, but this is what I'd look.

What do you look for in Flex 2 and AS3 training?
- Expert trainer, curriculum, courseware, Price

What do you want to get out of attending a training course?

- Get product certification

I'm accustomed to getting up to speed on new software by myself so the only thing I'd be looking for is accreditations

What teaching approach do you prefer?

- walk through a fixed curriculum

How do you want to learn code?

- Code an application from scratch

Would you attend a Flex 2, ActionScript 3.0 or Apollo course in your area within the next 6 months?

Yes, more than likely.. if the course met the above criteria

hi Peter, for what its worth, what I would like to get out of attending a training course is to have indepth knowledge of specific features and to know how to best apply the technology.
As I have learnd from one of your books, it seems that coding best practices are fundamental.
And also if we had good training courses near where I live I'd say that I would defenetely try and attend a training course.

Hey Peter - You may want to get in contact with my friend Tom Bray (http://www.tombray.com) because he just jumped into the Flex training field himself over here in California.

Personally, I prefer to learn anything new through working on my own experiments and fleshing out my own ideas - i.e. working from scratch. Depends on your audience though, for programming beginners this may not work as well.
