Its just over a month since the book was first published and was informed that “Object-Oriented ActionScript for Flash 8” is planned for a reprint.
Ultrashock.com is celebrating its 5 year anniversary with a contest including a grand prize of a 60Gb video iPod. Additionally they’ve launched a new series of articles on Flash 8, Photoshop and Illustrator well worth a read!
Pete from Friends of ED just forwarded me a link to Satori’s review of “Object-Oriented Actionscript for Flash 8“. Its a really great read, have been eager to get feedback from the Flash community on the book ever since it was published.
My author copies for “Object-Oriented ActionScript for Flash 8” have arrived! Its looking pretty good, at least what’s left of it, the wonderful people at DHL were kind enough to leave the package standing outside in the rain.

I’m happy to say “Object-Oriented ActionScript for Flash 8” is finally done and going to the printers. This was definitely one of the biggest book projects I’ve worked on and must say it turned out great. With the help of contributing authors Todd Yard and Sas Jacobs we covered tons of information you rarely find in ActionScript books.
XML is one of those technologies you take for granted as a Flash developer and probably use practically every single day without giving it a second thought.
